Yung Lean reimagines Robyn’s 2005 track “Robotboy,” drawing the song into his own melancholic, introspective world.

Produced by Klas Åhlund, Lean’s version grew out of a conversation between the two artists in their shared hometown of Stockholm and his personal connection to the song. Originally released on Robyn’s self-titled album, “Robotboy” takes on new meaning in Lean’s hands.

“I think it was made for you J,” Robyn says of his interpretation. “The lyrics turn to gold in your version, like you are singing this lullaby to a previous version of yourself.”
